Our goal each year, is to serve as many families as possible through our Christmas Party / Toy Outreach, for children of the homeless and the economically challenged, working class families.

 

These families are unique in the sense that they work full-time and in many cases two jobs. Yet, they still struggle to make ends meet. Especially, this time of year!

 

Since it's inception, A Hand Up  has served more than 12,600 children and families, through our Joy of the Season Christmas Outreach!

 

Our assistance during this time goes far beyond toys.  We work hard to identify the specific needs of these families.  In addition to toys, we have given clothes, school uniforms, shoes, coats, blankets, etc. to help ease these families’ burdens.

 

With donations from business partners, individuals etc. we provide Christmas for children and families that would otherwise go without.  Each year we provide an awesome night of food, fun and entertainment including; stockings filled with goodies for the children. In addition, young people from our local community do an amazing job providing fun and entertainment for the children, as their parents shop for toys in our Christmas store.

 

Every year we provide each parent with a large trash bag and allow them to shop for toys for their children! This gives the parents so much JOY! It also allows the parents to wrap the gifts for their children themselves, and distribute the toys to their children on Christmas day!

After hurricane Michael, we were in  the unique position to be able to provide toys, gifts, supplies and even financial support for some of our volunteers and partners who lost their homes and personal effects as a result of the disaster.
